EliteSingles, a premium site for educated singles and professionals, has announced their expansion into the Australian and New Zealand markets.
EliteSingles is a brand of Affinitas, a Berlin-based company that started 5 years ago.
The company’s main brand, eDarling, is in 20 countries, and the company is now expanding their premium matchmaking service, EliteSingles, into New Zealand and Australia.
David Khalil, co-founder and CEO of Affinitas, said:
“The success of EliteSingles in Europe shows us that discerning singles are very willing to try online dating, as long as they are brought into an online environment that reflects the high standards they are used to.
“Singles are tired of the lack of quality control on mainstream online dating sites, and EliteSingles provides something new to the market — a safe space where successful singles can find each other.”
They aim to target the increasingly prosperous and busy singles in the market – the Australian Bureau of Statistics found that 1.7m employees work 49 hours or more each week.
The company recently bought back shares from previous investor eHarmony, and Khalil is keen to promote the company’s commitment to stamping out scammers on their services.
Speaking to GlobalDatingInsights, Khalil said:
“So many users of online dating sites have suffered great financial and emotional damage that their voice is being heard even louder than those of the millions of success couples.”
The company hires a team which manually check through their profiles.
