Chinese online dating site Jiayuan.com, the largest online dating platform in China, has reached 100m users.
iResearch found that Jiayuan accounts for 57% of all time spent on online dating in China, over 5 times that of their closest competitor.
Linguang Wu, CEO of Jiayuan, said: ”We are very pleased to see ongoing user growth as we continue to optimize user experience, enhance our proprietary search and matching technology, and expand our brand portfolio.”
Jiayuan was founded in 2003 and claim to have helped over 12.3m users find love.
Despite Jiayuan’s huge marketshare, they also face competition from hugely successful apps such as Momo, which saw their user base double to 80m in four months last year.
They are releasing a new app Tali to attract younger audiences.
Of their plans for 2014, Wu said: “We will introduce our personalized matchmaking business to new markets, enhance our existing products and launch new products to target different customer demographics.”
