New Crossover Site Brings Together Online Dating And Bingo
A newly-launched dating site is looking to connect people as they play a game of online bingo.
BingoDate.com, is the first site to specifically combine bingo with dating, its founders noticing a gap in the market for a crossover site.
Once a member, users can upload a photo and check out and view each other’s profiles as they play.
They can also send one another messages as they compete for a full house, and use the site to ask another player out on a date.
A spokesman for BingoDate said: “We love bingo but we saw a gap in the market for a website which combined the very best of the game with the interactivity of social media and a focus on dating.
“We are delighted with the response to the site so far with more than 200 sign ups in the first 48 hours of going live.
“We are really looking forward to hearing about all the fun dates our members go on and we are offering a cash prize of £500 towards the wedding of the first BingoDate.com couple to tie the knot.”
The site, which went live earlier this week, is hoping to encourage its members to pursue offline dates with the people they connect with through the site, even suggesting a local bingo hall as an ideal date venue.
One of the first members to join said: “My love of bingo has cost me two marriages because my wives just didn’t get it.
“But I’m hoping to find someone on BingoDate.com who understands that there’s nothing more romantic than getting your eyes down for a full house.
“Bingo has got a bit of an image problem but the truth is it’s one of the most fun games you can play with your clothes on.”
