Badoo Adds New ‘Moods’ Feature and ‘Would You Rather’ Game

Badoo has added a couple of new features to make it easier for users to make genuine connections and have fun during the process.

The first update is called ‘Moods’, which gives users the option to share what’s on their minds. This can either be based around their current emotions or what kind of date they want to pursue.

These include “Make me laugh”, “Let’s grab a drink” or “Thinking long-term”. Potential matches can click on the moods to start a conversation based around the available prompt.

The other new feature is an interactive game called ‘Would You Rather’. After opting in, users who are online get matched together and asked a series of questions as a way to get to know each other and find out what they have in common.

Natasha Briefel, Badoo’s UK Brand Marketing Director, said in a statement: “Our goal at Badoo is to help daters meet like-minded people and have fun along the way, which is why we’ve introduced a range of new features that will help make the dating experience simpler, safer and stress-free.

“We want to foster a safe environment for our dating community. We know how stressful and confusing online dating can be, and we want to deliver an experience that steers away from that, and instead focuses on the fun side of dating.”

This is in addition to the new video feature that was launched on Badoo in September. ‘Clips’ are 15-second short videos that users record of themselves answering pre-selected questions.

It was created as a better way to break the ice, judge compatibility and make interactions on the app less superficial.
