Badoo Founder New on Forbes’ List of Tech Billionaires

Forbes has released its 2018 list of the world’s tech billionaires.

There was a record of 206 tech billionaires featured on this year’s list, which was 23 more than the previous year.

Among the newcomers of the richest tech billionaires on the list was Badoo founder, Andrey Andreev.

He founded the world’s largest online dating site with over 377 million users across 190 different countries and, in 2014, he put $10 million in seed money for a 79% stake in Bumble.

With these accomplishments, Andreev is now worth £1.54B according to Forbes.

The U.S. and China were the two countries with the most tech billionaires, with 38% and 26% of all, respectively.

Only 15 of the 206 tech billionaires were women, including Zhou Qunfei, chairman of smartphone screen maker Lens Technology.

The richest tech billionaire (and richest person in the world) is Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, followed by Bill Gates who dropped to the number two spot this year.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg was also named the third richest tech billionaire and fifth richest person in the world, with a net worth of $71 billion.
