Bumble Launches New LinkedIn Video Series
Bumble has launched a new video series called #MorningCommute on its LinkedIn page.
The series will join key Bumble employees as they drive to work in the morning. They’ll answer questions about their background and how they ended up working for the dating app.
The first episode was posted on Friday (August 24th) and has been viewed almost 20,000 times. It follows Director of Strategy Priti Joshi on her way to Bumble’s Austin HQ.
Joshi joined the company in April 2015 after almost 10 years working in management consulting.
In the video, she explains her decision to start working for Bumble by saying: “When the opportunity came to potentially join Bumble, I just fell in love with the mission and what we stand for.
“Trying to end misogyny around the world? Who wouldn’t want to join that company.”
She likes to get in early in the morning, typically between 7:30 and 8, so she can talk to the international teams in the UK and Australia.
After a slow start at Bumble, when Joshi confesses there wasn’t a lot of work for her to do, she says: “I am now in back-to-back meetings all day. It is so fun, it’s fast-paced – it picked up really fast.”
The working environment at Bumble is quite unique. The new Texas office made headlines around the world for its striking appearance and colourful design. Employees are treated to free, bi-monthly beauty treatments such as haircuts, manicures and pedicures.
