Chappy Changes Survey Following Ageism Accusations

Gay dating app Chappy has been forced to correct a survey after it prevented users over the age of 50 from filling out the form. The survey is being managed by Typeform.

The dating app originally sent out a survey to ask daters what they thought about their service.

However, those over 50 were not allowed to take part, leading to accusations of ageism.

Chappy’s head of brand Sam Dumas told Gay Star News: “We take full responsibility for this admin error and the survey has now been amended accordingly.

“Chappy is a dating app that welcomes all users over 18.”

The survey has been corrected and one of the first questions will now ask users to enter their age. Before, a text-box appeared which told users: “Please enter a value between 18-50.”

Chappy recently joined a partnership with Spring Studios to create a series of events which took place last month, during New York City Pride.
