eHarmony has just announced it has hired a new Chief Product Officer.

Ken Walker joins eHarmony’s management team from ZipRecruiter.

Walker helped grow the company from a bootstrapped startup to its position now, where it sees over $100m in revenue.

The newly-appointed exec will oversee eHarmony’s products and features, and will be tasked with growing its mobile business.

Speaking about the appointment, eHarmony CEO Dr. Neil Clark Warren said:

“eHarmony holds an important place in the industry, representing the most innovative matching process with the most success for helping create lasting relationships.

“As we continue to grow, leading trends for meaningful and authentic life experiences, we expect that Ken’s expertise and contributions will be key to the business and we’re so pleased to welcome him to the eHarmony management team.”

eHarmony now sees over 64% of new users come to the platform via mobile, and Walker will be key in honing the company’s mobile strategy over the coming years.

Walker was Chief Product Officer at ZipRecruiter for four years, prior to which he was the VP of Product Management at MyLife and Director of Product Management at Pictage.

Speaking about his new role, Walker said:

“The eHarmony brand has maintained market leadership, leveraging its rich history to connect millions of people and I’m honored to join such a well-respected brand.

“eHarmony has a strong, unique position in the industry and I’m excited about the opportunities to redefine our mobile experience and bring eHarmony to new audiences.”

Earlier this month, eHarmony also hired a new marketing director from Pandora.
