eharmony Looks for ‘Love Stories’ with Creative Writing Competition


As part of eharmony’s 10th birthday celebrations, the brand is collaborating with Trapeze Books to launch a competition and find the next “great love story”.

The initiative comes as part of eHarmony’s Love Stories campaign, which seeks to highlight the diverse ways in which real life couples meet and come together.

Entrants need to submit the first 5,000 words of a love story, plus a biography and a synopsis.

The winner will be awarded a publishing contract with Trapeze worth £10,000, and will be offered mentoring from Trapeze author Anna Stuart.

A selection of the best entries will be shortlisted and judged by C+W Agency staff, Trapeze Books staff, representatives from eharmony, and journalist and editor Sarah Shaffi.

“From high-concept contemporary romances like The Time Traveller’s Wife through to darker tales of obsessive love in Wuthering Heights, I’m looking for a timeless tale that will appeal to the widest possible audience.”

Submissions are open from today, with a deadline of 30th July 2018. The shortlist will be announced on the 1st October 2018 and the winner announced in November.
