Facebook Rolls Out New LinkedIn-Style Job Listings
Facebook is moving on LinkedIn with the roll-out of a new job listings feature.
This week, Facebook has started rolling out a feature that lets businesses in the US and Canada post job openings on the social network.
Employers with a Page will be able to create a job post, track applications and communicate directly with applicants all within Facebook.
Page admins will also be able to review the applications and contact candidates on mobile via Messenger.
As with normal adverts and posts, businesses can also pay to boost their job listings so they are seen by a wider audience.
For applicants, the jobs appear in New Feeds, businesses’ Pages, and on Facebook’s new jobs bookmark section.
When candidates click Apply Now button, a form pre-populated with Facebook information opens up, which applicants can edit before sending.
And the feature is now rolling out across the US and Canada – businesses can post jobs on their Facebook page and job seekers can browse posts at facebook.com/jobs, or by visiting the jobs bookmark on desktop or mobile.
