Dating platform, GaiGai, hosted its first water-themed party on ‘Single’s Day’ at Adventure Cove Waterpark in Resorts World Sentosa.

GaiGai singles’ events have a great variety of activities, ranging from wine & dine to a game of laser tag.

On 11th November, known as Singles’ Day, GaiGai held a party in the water park. It was filled with hundreds of singles beyond normal operating hours and into the night.

Established in 2015, GaiGai has been organising singles’ parties besides its core service of matchmaking. Founder Alex Tam (who recently spoke at GDI’s London Conference in September), is hoping to change the perception of dating agencies and singles’ parties not being prevalent in Singapore.

He said: “Being an Asian society, the stigma about singles’ events and matchmaking agencies already exist. I wish to change that with our mega parties and reach out to as many singles as possible. One will know how a singles’ party is really like only after attending it. It is not about just finding love but also making meaningful connections with other individuals.”

Carnival games encouraged interaction, and the waterpark’s rides were open just for the singles all night.

A founder of an influencers’ talent agency, who attended the event also said: “My perspective on singles’ parties has changed a lot since the event – I kept thinking that only desperate and unattractive people would attend such singles’ parties but I was wrong.”

Prior to this event, GaiGai also held its Valentine’s Day party for singles on 12th February with Resorts World Sentosa at the S.E.A Aquarium and then followed by a Great Gatsby themed Masquerade party back in July.

GaiGai typically offers a wide range of activities every week and mega parties with different themes, just for singles.
