We are thrilled to announce social app developer if(we) as a sponsor of our very first European conference.
if(we) is a venture-backed startup based in Silicon Valley, which operates leading dating platforms Tagged and hi5.
After re-branding in 2014, the San Francisco-based company became entirely dedicated to building and incubating social products designed to help people form meaningful connections.
In 2004, the company launched Tagged, a dating platform that focuses on connecting people through unique functionalities, including its Meet Me feature, and a Pets game.
The company then acquired popular social network hi5 in 2011, which has since evolved into a social gaming platform.
It is also the creator of Nod, an award-winning iOS app that “brings text messaging to life” by giving users the chance to add custom avatars, expressions and gestures to their messages.
if(we) now boasts an international user base of over 5m active users.
Speaking about the company’s sponsorship, a spokesperson from if(we) said: “if(we) is proud to sponsor the 2016 GDI European conference.
“We look forward to sharing our voice among the other innovators and thought-leaders driving the global dating industry.”
And we are very excited to name if(we) as a gold sponsor for the event tomorrow, alongside Dating Factory, Venntro, Scamalytics, M14 Industries and The Inner Circle.
The company’s CEO, Dash Gopinath, will also be delivering a talk on the day, where he will share key insights into how companies can embrace churn when it comes to dating.
