Happii Set for High Profile UK Launch

Happii, a new app “for people seeking better dates and relationships”, is set for a high profile UK launch.

The app’s USP is said to be ‘immersive’ profiles, providing users with more detail about potential matches.

Users can share film trailers, music, books they’d like to read and profile videos on the platform.

The live demo on the website also shows a world map that users can annotate with anecdotes from their travels.

One of the prominent features in bios are lists of five interests and five personality traits. To avoid quick pick-up lines, first messages must be at least 100 characters.

“It’s all of these elements combined that really help determine attraction (or not), even before any contact is made,” Founder Darren Newman told the Evening Standard.

Safety is outlined as a priority at Happii: “We’ve also got your back when it comes to decency and security, including Facebook ID verification, anti-scamming algorithms, private date diary to log your dates and skin detection software so no more grim dic* pics!”

The first 5,000 users to sign up for pre-registration receive free lifetime memberships. After the autumn launch, the site will cost £12.50 per month.
