HeeSay Hosts First Offline Event After Rebrand

Gay dating app HeeSay, previously known as Blued, has held its first offline event since its recent rebrand. The platform organised a gala in Bangkok where it celebrated the efforts of users & influencers.

HeeSay has one of the largest user bases in the world among LGBTQ+ singles, and it hosted individuals from around the world to its annual gala in Bangkok last week.

Speaking at the event, the Head of HeeSay shared that “We always look to encourage more LGBTQ+ people to find true love, make like-minded friends, and voice opinions both for themselves and for the community via HeeSay”.

“HeeSay has set more eyes on markets like Japan, South Korea, SEA and North America and will launch more creative activities worldwide in months to come, engaging more passionate users and content creators who have a strong desire to express themselves”, the Head of HeeSay added.

Beyond the change of its name from Blued to Heesay, the platform also recently adopted a number of new social-first features which foster community and social discovery, Global Dating Insights reported.

The gala involved handing out awards to recognise the impact of users and influencers. This initiative was done to “enable a much tighter connection” between the platform and those using it, “motivating joint efforts in establishing a quality content ecosystem”, HeeSay shared.

“I didn’t expect to meet so many friends offline, most of whom I’ve talked with frequently in live streams, ” said one of the event’s attendees.

“The way that HeeSay goes on is creative for me, as I always feel fatigued when I swipe to match in dating apps, and HeeSay solves this problem because I can meet more interesting people through other channels like audio chatting rooms and live streaming”, they added.
