Hornet Launches Ad Campaign With HIV Positive Singles For National HIV Testing Day

To commemorate National HIV Testing Day, gay dating app Hornet has released an ad campaign about the experience of living with HIV.

The short ad spot, released this week, shows two HIV-positive men connecting and chatting on the dating app.

The dating platform said: “At Hornet we cultivate a social network that allows men to make meaningful connections. We understand that HIV impacts many of those connections.

“This video tells the story of how guys connect on Hornet and it was important to be able to reflect the experience of those living with HIV.

“HIV is nothing to be ashamed of and we strive to foster a community that celebrates and affirms all people regardless of HIV status.”

Hornet is one of the few apps that allows users to indicate their HIV status, with its Know Your Status feature.
