Jack’d Adds GIFs & New User Insights With Version 4.0

Jack’d has added the capability to send GIFs on the mobile platform, the company announced this week.

The update comes with version 4.0 of the app, which is now available on Android and iOS.

Speaking about the feature launch, Alon Rivel, the Director of Global Marketing at Jack’d said: “I spent the summer touring the country’s prides, interviewing Jack’d members on what they wanted in the app’s next generation, and over and over again, I heard from millennials that they prefer interacting with each other in ways that do not always include text messages.

“They said GIFs allow them to break the ice in a funnier and more interactive way, so we got to work adding GIFs to Chat in 4.0.”

Another feature that arrives with the latest version is a newly-designed “Insights” feature.

This lets Jack’d users know “the type of guys a man they’re interested in is into”, as well as how frequently they respond to messages.

Rivel said: “Insights is a real time-saver. Why waste time on a guy who is not into you or takes forever to reply back?”

Jack’d has also enhanced its Anonymous Browsing feature that allows users to check who is on the app without being seen, and its Tinder-style “Swipe to Match” tool.

Another interesting update is that now, no matter how remote an area a Jack’d user is in, the grid of nearby users will always load 200 men for free users, and 500 for paying subscribers.

The move comes after Jack’d announced it would be removing the ability to screenshot while the app is open, and moves to further blurs users’ exact location.

Further updates expected soon from Jack’d include added video functionality and the introduction of Jack’d emojis.
