Jack’d / Manhunt Umbrella Seeks New Chief Operating Officer

Online Buddies, the umbrella for leading LGBTQ brands Jack’d and Manhunt, is seeking a new Chief Operating Officer.

The two platforms have almost 20 million combined members, 6 million of whom are active. They are headquartered in Kendall Square, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The vacancy reads:

“From the moment you start working at Online-Buddies you become an integral part of the Online Buddie team and its future. Our two core brands – Jack’d & Manhunt offers a sense of community and connection to gay men worldwide. We are seeking strong minded, hard-working, and friendly employees.

“The COO role is a key member of the senior management team, reporting only to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). You’ll have to maintain control of diverse business operations, so we expect you to be an experienced and efficient leader. You must also have excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics.

“The goal of the COO position is to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.”


 


The role involves the design and implementation of business strategy, goal setting, overseeing daily operations and working on the company’s vision.

Ideal applicants have at least five years experience monetising apps, great technical knowledge and the ability to work with AWS and network advertising.

The listing notes: “This position is potentially promotable to be CEO. In that regard you should have good skills in financial matters, and the ability to run a successful business from the top position.”

Speaking to GDI, a spokesperson for Online Buddies said: “We are looking for someone who really knows the dating app space who is enthusiastic, easy going, and open to helping us grow.  

“We’re very excited to be expanding the team after a successful year.”

In addition to this vacancy, the C-suite may be looking to hire a new Chief Technology Officer in the near future.
