L’Oreal Brazil Hires Tinder Executive as New CDO

Tinder

A former Tinder executive has joined L’Oreal Brazil as the company’s new Chief Digital Officer.

Andrea Iorio had worked as Tinder’s Director of Marketing and Communications in Brazil and Latin America, before taking over as the region’s Country Manager at the start of 2016.

As the CDO Iorio will be in charge of driving digital innovation and transformation across L’Oreal Brazil’s Professional Products Division.

According to Global Cosmetics News, he said in an interview: “The question for any company nowadays is no longer whether to implement a digital strategy or not but rather how to implement such strategies.

“In that context, the CDO has a dual role: as well as bringing a technical vision about digital into the company, the role is also responsible for bringing a digital culture into the DNA of departments.”

Iorio is also an Angel Investor and Advisor for a number of South American startups – including Zen App, Filmr and Brother Tongue.

Brazil was one of the first countries to test Tinder Top Picks, the popular Gold feature that gives members a daily curated list of potential matches.
