A teenager has been arrested after firing shots at a man who catfished him on a dating site.
Chauncy Wilkerson, 19, told police how he had connected with a woman on social media site Tagged, which is now owned by The Meet Group.
However Wilkerson soon found out that the person he was chatting to was actually a man, and attempted to cease contact with him.
The 19-year-old then said the man he inadvertently met on Tagged showed up at his house, despite having repeatedly asked him not to.
Police said when he went to confront the man with his mother, the man drove at Wilkerson and his mother, hitting them with his car.
Having brought a handgun for protection, the 19-year-old then fired four shots at the car, as the man fled the scene.
Chauncy Wilkerson has now been arrested by the Baton Rouge Police Department on charges of illegal use of a weapon and aggravated assault with a firearm.
