Match and Yoopies Offer Free Babysitting to Single Parents
Match has formed a new partnership with childcare-finding service, Yoopies, offering its new and existing single parent users a free three-hours worth of babysitting.
This is following a recent survey that found 35% of British single parents have not been on a date in over a year. A further 45% say that they never date, yet almost half of single parents would like to find a serious, long term relationship.
Match are hoping that their new offer will encourage more singles to tackle the negative feelings they have about dating, such as not having enough time, or feeling guilty about leaving their child.
Vicko Pavitt, Match’s dating expert, explains: ‘’We understand there are so many things for single parents to juggle, especially when it comes to dating.
“It’s not just popping out to grab a quick bite, but booking the babysitter, organising the taxi so you’re not late back and also arranging the follow ups – it’s a military operation.
“So with this new offering from Match at least there is one less thing to worry about”
Three hours has been estimated as almost the perfect amount of time for a date. Research found that the average date in Britain lasted 163 minutes.
Yoopies is a leading online childcare service operating across Europe. All of their 800,000 babysitters have been trained professionally and every city in the UK is covered.
Their CEO, Benjamin Suchar, said: “Finding the right childcare when you go out on a date is a real challenge, especially if you’re a single parent.
“We’re therefore really excited about our new partnership with Match and hope that it helps its new members enjoy their first date without the worry of babysitting costs.”
The offer is valid between 3rd July and 30th September 2018.
