Match.com Running London Coffee Pop-Up Where Singles Can 3D-Print Their Face Onto A Cup Of Coffee

Match

Next week, Match.com is running a fun two day pop-up coffee shop in London to help singles find their perfect match through their love of coffee.

Called “Espresso Yourself”, the pop-up will offer singles three types of coffee: “chappuccino”, “femmericano” or “selffees”.

And if singles choose “chappuccino” or “femmericano”, they will be given a free drink with a twist: their potential match will be drawn onto the foam of their coffee.

The dating platform will offer coffee lovers a “menu” of eight different Match.com members (four female and four male) and using a 3D printer, their coffee will have the face of their chosen match on top.

The cups will also be customised to give more information about each of the members and how to connect with them.

With the “selffees” option, Match.com is also offering singles the chance to print their own face on the top of a coffee and hand it to someone who catches their eye.

Match.com’s PR Manager Jenny Mitchell said: “More and more of our members are choosing to go on “coffee dates”, and scrolling through potential matches is something people often do while they’re queuing for their morning caffeine fix.

“We’re encouraging singles to have the confidence to be bold and put themselves out there in a way they hadn’t before.

“At the same time, we wanted to make finding a date as simple as ordering a coffee, so we’ve teamed up with eight of our members to help make it happen.”

Espresso Yourself will be held in Boxpark, Shoreditch, on 19th-20th January from 11am to 5pm.

The pop-up has been put together by Match.com and Coffee Ripples (the company that developed the 3D printer).
