Match Group announced last week that it has appointed Ayni Raimondi as the online dating company’s new Vice President of Brand.
Raimondi spent more than six-and-a-half years at Airbnb, where she held several positions including Global Brand Relationships Lead, before moving on at the beginning of February. She then spent just over two years serving as VP of Marketing for ethical clothing firm Everlane.
In her new role at Match Group, Raimondi will be responsible for overseeing its brand development. This should involve reaching new global markets by personalising products to specific regions and demographics.
The new Vice President of Brand told Adweek in an interview: “At this moment when we’re all experiencing so much change, the need for human connection is as apparent now as ever before.
“We will be pushing the cultural conversation around relationships forward, and I’ll be looking to partner with top strategic and creative talent for diverse executions as we continue to focus on celebrating and supporting singles looking for connection.”
Match Group made several significant additions to the Board of Directors immediately after it completed the separation from IAC. The advisors included ExecOnline CEO Stephen Bailey, entrepreneur Wendi Murdoch and actor Ryan Reynolds.
Its flagship product Tinder appointed Jim Lanzone as its new CEO in July, following the departure of former executive Elie Seidman.
