Match Group Partners with OpenAI

Match Group has just announced a partnership with OpenAI, the creators of the ChatGPT tool. This collaboration will see the dating app company gain access to over 1000 ChatGPT Enterprise licenses, enabling continued AI innovation in dating.

In a recent statement (written by ChatGPT and edited by Match Group’s comms team), the company shared that employees are “leveraging this tech to jazz up communications, coding, design, analysis, build templates, and eliminate a lot of the daily grind”.

“Integrating ChatGPT Enterprise into our workflow has been like adding a pinch of magic into our daily tasks. We’re not just talking about a productivity boost; this is a full-on work culture revolution, supercharging our innovation engines”, shared Will Wu, Match Group’s Chief Technology Officer.

“I’m thrilled that Match Group matched with me,” ChatGPT said. “Together, we’re not just breaking the ice; we’re melting it, and reshaping the way work gets done”, it added.

Match Group said that its work with AI “comes with a promise of responsibility”. This means that it will be “keeping things safe and secure, ensuring our team knows how to use these tools wisely, with all the privacy bells and whistles in place”.

Match Group is the parent company of dating apps Tinder, Hinge, OkCupid, and more. It highlighted that AI is already being used for trust & safety and matching algorithms, but that this new partnership opens the door for future innovation.
