Positive Singles Brings Swiping to Mobile App

STD dating app Positive Singles has announced it has modernised its iOS app by bringing in swipe functionality.

Basic information including age, location and type of STD can be displayed below pictures as part of the update, which is known as ‘SPARK’.

The platform now works in a similar way to other products on the market. Users can swipe left to pass and view the next profile, while a right swipe will show that they are interested. If both people swipe right then they are free to begin a conversation.

Positive Singles believes the new interface will give the app “a more traditional online dating feel”.

‘SPARK’ has been available in the browser version of the platform since 2017, but is only now making the transition to mobile.

CEO Suny Zhang said in a statement: “We are so happy with the number of new members that keep registering on our app every day. This is why we wanted to come up with this simple swipe feature, which was how online dating kick-started.

“I am sure this feature was much awaited, and our members are going to love its use. We, of course, have a team that will constantly monitor the response and supports our users.”

Positive Singles is known as the largest dating platform for people with STDs. Launched in 2001, it boasts more than 60,000 success stories and currently has 15,000 daily active users.
