Snap Interactive Begins Paltalk Integration With New Dating Section On Chat Room
The integration of Snap Interactive and Paltalk has begun, with the addition of a dating section to Paltalk’s video chat platform.
When clicked, the new section encourages users of Paltalk to join Snap’s Facebook-connected dating service FirstMet, formerly AYI.com.
This is the “first of many” integrations between the two brands, according to Snap, having closed the merger last October.
Snap’s Chief Product Officer Arash Vakil said: “Many of our video chat users on Paltalk are interested in meeting new people, and in our cross-sell tests, we verified there is a strong interest in dating.
“In the near future, we expect to enable an even more seamless integration of dating functionality into our video chat products, in order to meet that demand.
“Further, there is also an opportunity to integrate real-time and recorded video into our dating applications.”

Snap obviously hopes to monetise Paltalk’s user base with this, and future, integrations, now the company has a combined user base of 250m.
Alex Harrington, SNAP’s CEO, said: “We are starting to realize the benefits of integrating the complementary features and audiences of the products originating from each side of our recent merger, reinforcing the strategic rationale for the deal.
“We look forward to executing on more of such synergy opportunities in the coming year.”
