The Inner Circle Hires Reporter & Ex-Matchmaker Nichi Hodgson As New Communications & PR Manager

The Inner Circle has just hired a new Communications and PR Manager to help further promote the dating brand and grow its global user base.
Nichi Hodgson is a former Silicon Valley matchmaker and sex columnist for Men’s Health with eight years of media experience.
Hodgson recently published her book “The Curious History of Dating: From Jane Austen to Tinder”, which looks at how dating has evolved, asking whether dating is easier in today’s digital world.
She previously worked as a political commentator and newspaper reviewer at Sky for over five years and spent a further five working as a commentator for the BBC.
Hodgson has also worked as a sex correspondent at the Telegraph Media Group, was a Director at Ethical Porn Partnership, and spent time as a Silicon Valley matchmaker.
Hodgson said: “I was looking for a role in which I could pay forward the insights I’ve gleaned writing about love and relationships over the years.
“When this opportunity came up, I jumped at the chance. It’s such an exciting time for The Inner Circle and I can’t wait to contribute to this innovative, humane business.”
The Inner Circle hopes Hodgson will help to “hone and promote” the company’s brand message.
Founder of The Inner Circle, David Vermeulen, said: “Nichi’s experience as journalist, dating author and communications specialist puts her in the perfect position to share our unique mission to a Tinder-tired generation.”
Available in London, Paris, Barcelona, Milan, Stockholm, Zurich and New York, The Inner Circle has over 200,000 members across Europe and NYC.
The company launched in New York City last October, quickly doubling its membership to 23,000 after a month in the city.
This week, The Inner Circle also hosted a singles event at SXSW, where it showcased its new matching algorithm.
The new matching system gives each person a profile score, which is calculated from information like age, education, social network analysis and even facial structure.
