Tinder Opens Silicon Valley Office With Plans To Double Workforce In 18 Months

Tinder is looking to double its workforce in 18 months as it opens a new office in Silicon Valley.

The company, which is currently based in Hollywood, is now opening its second office and first in Silicon Valley as it looks to recruit more staff.

Speaking to Recode, co-founder & CEO Sean Rad said the decision to open the office was designed to help the company attract the best tech talent.

Rad said the company wanted to find employees who had worked on “very large-scale systems and infrastructures” such as Google and Facebook.

The office, which was one of the first Facebook offices, is on 471 Emerson Street and opens next week.

And with the move, Tinder plans to double its workforce of 200 over the next year or so.

It’s been a very busy year for Tinder so far, launching new products like Tinder Boost, Stacks and Smart Photos, as well as backing Hey! VINA and integrating with Spotify.
