Waplog to Introduce New ‘Story’ Feature

Waplog, a dating app based in Ankara with over 60 million users worldwide, is set to introduce a new ‘Story’ feature.

“Waplog Stories are just like Instagram Stories”, a company spokesperson told GDI.

“Hearing someone’s voice and seeing them do things is a special part of dating so it is very important for the full dating experience.”

The addition will help to make the app a safer place to date – stories can only be uploaded directly from the camera, so singles can use it to verify the identity of their crush.

It comes as part of Waplog’s focus on eliminating scammers and catfishers.

Further, videos will go through a moderation process before they become available to the public.

Waplog Story will be available for Android and web users, with iPhone compatibility coming “soon”.

The platform is is particularly popular in Turkey, Saudi Arabia, USA, Brazil, Mexico, Thailand, Germany, Italy, Indonesia and Russia.
