Woo Introduces New Feature Allowing Users to Ring Their Matches

One of India’s leading dating apps, Woo, is improving the experience of its female users with a new interactive feature called the Woo Phone.

Woo has a user base of over 4.4 million people. The app seeks to provide a women-first approach to enable meaningful connections in a secure and safe environment.

The new feature enables women to call their matches from within the app, never revealing their phone numbers.

The feature is available for free, and is exclusively for women.

Woo’s new feature is a first for its market, and the Woo Phone has been developed as a result of different feedback and insights from the female audience.

According to the company, its female users have wanted to continue conversations from the app but have not always felt comfortable exchanging their personal phone numbers.

Mr Sumesh Menon, Co-Founder & CEO of Woo, said: “We have been part of the dating ecosystem since 2014. The audience has evolved considerably. Our users are now more vocal on what they expect from the app and what features they think would help improve their experience.”

He added: “We generally over-index our product thinking to build with a women-first perspective and we believe this will be a real differentiator in the long run.”
