HER Launches ‘U-Haul Fall’ to Celebrate Sapphic Relationships
HER, the largest sapphic dating app, has introduced a new initiative called “U-Haul Fall” in anticipation of cuffing season. This campaign aims to embrace and facilitate the unique dynamics of WLW relationships, where couples often move in together at a significantly faster pace than their heterosexual counterparts. According to HER’s survey of over 2,000 users, sapphic couples typically move in after an average of just 5.6 months, compared to 22 months for straight couples.
As part of the U-Haul Fall campaign, HER has added a “U-Haul” button in the chat screen of its app. Users can access a “Moving-In-Style” quiz to assess their compatibility for cohabitation. In an effort to support this trend, HER will cover the moving costs for three selected couples who choose to live together this season.
Robyn Exton, CEO of HER, emphasized the importance of recognizing the unique pace at which sapphic relationships progress. The app aims to provide resources, such as moving supplies and helpful content, to ease the transition for couples moving in together – celebrating the speed of these relationships instead of trying to suppress it.
Feedback from users has been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing excitement about the initiative and seeing it as a chance to commit to the move-ins they’ve been considering. With over 15 million users worldwide, HER sees this as just another step to acknowledge and support the unique experiences of queer women, nonbinary, and trans individuals in their dating journeys.
