Match Group Joins UK Anti-Fraud Coalition

Match Group has formally joined Stop Scams UK, an industry-wide initiative focused on tackling fraud through collaborative data sharing and intelligence efforts. As part of this cross-sector coalition, the online dating company will work alongside major players such as Amazon, Meta, Google, and leading UK banks and telecom firms to curb the rising tide of online scams.

The partnership supports Stop Scams UK’s mission to strengthen fraud detection and prevention capabilities through coordinated efforts across industries. Match Group, which owns popular dating platforms like Tinder and Hinge, will participate in ongoing intelligence-sharing pilots and contribute to efforts aimed at disrupting scam activity before it can reach users.

“Match Group is committed to engaging in data exchange initiatives with Stop Scams UK to identify opportunities to detect novel fraud actors and disrupt their cross-channel tactics,” said Yoel Roth, VP of Trust & Safety at Match Group.

Through its involvement, Match Group will focus on leveraging shared insights and strategic communications to build stronger fraud prevention frameworks. Match Group’s participation signals a step forward in making online interactions more secure by pre-empting threats through multi-industry collaboration.

Other signatories to the joint anti-fraud effort include BT Group, HSBC, Lloyds Banking Group, Monzo Bank, NatWest, Santander UK, and Three UK. The initiative remains open to new members as Stop Scams UK expands its scope in the months ahead.
