X Unveils New Livestream Studio for Desktop Creators
X has launched a redesigned livestreaming studio aimed at making it easier for creators to schedule, manage and monitor live broadcasts from desktop computers.
The new feature is available through X’s Creator Studio and introduces a more streamlined interface for setting up livestreams. Creators can upload custom thumbnails, manage chat settings and configure broadcasts from a single dashboard before going live, simplifying a process that previously required more manual setup.
Once a stream is underway, the platform also provides live analytics, including viewer peaks, comment activity and audience demographic information. These insights are intended to help creators better understand how viewers engage with their content during broadcasts and refine future livestreams.
The updated livestream studio is currently available to subscribers of X Premium and higher subscription tiers, which include access to the platform’s Media Studio tools. By placing the feature behind its paid subscription, X is continuing its strategy of reserving advanced creator features for paying users.
To encourage adoption, X has also announced an additional $1 million in creator funding for livestreamers during the current payment cycle. While the company has confirmed the funding will support livestream creators, it has not explained exactly how the money will be distributed or what eligibility requirements will apply.
The launch is part of ongoing investment in live content, an area where the platform has traditionally attracted users during breaking news, sports and major events. By improving its broadcasting tools, X is aiming to make it easier for creators and brands to host live discussions directly on the platform rather than relying on third-party streaming software.
