CNN have a piece on the swinger parties in San Francisco using technology to modernise “key parties”.
CNN Money reporter Laurie Segall speaks to Ben Fuller, creator of the monthly Bronze Party, who says they even use mobile to let users connect at the parties.
Called AutoDate, the feature allows you to choose who you are interested in, and if the interest is mutual, you get a notification and can meet each other in the party.
Fuller says they get lots of attendees from local San Francisco startups and tech companies, who “appreciate the technology bent of the company, and often have great ideas about technology they are using that I can apply at Bronze Party.”
Such partygoers included an iPhone developer who helped him manage contact information, an email expert who helped him get around Gmail filters, and a user experience designer who helped redesign his website and mobile app.
