Mobile dating app InviteUp has hired Los Angeles PR firm PMBC Group to handle their launch.

InviteUp is an event-based dating app, that lets singles connect with people who want to visit the same places.

Users simply post about where they want to visit, when they are free and who is picking up the bill.

Designed to cut out small talk and messaging, the app also helps to facilitate group dates.

InviteUp leverages Foursquare’s 65m locations for its list of potential date spots, letting singles post date ideas for well-known locations around the city.

The app was founded by Los Angeles restaurant and real estate entrepreneur brothers Mitch and Avi Kahan.

And the dating company has selected PMBC Group to help publicise the app, which launched in beta in March 2015.

Ola Danilina, the CEO and founder of PMBC Group said: “We are excited to act as a strategic partner in InviteUp’s launch into the mobile space as we generate significant media awareness with a strategic thought leadership and download-driving media relations campaign.”

PMBC Group is based in Beverley Hills, and has clients including Anomo, Oink, SideChef and Ibotta.

The app is available on iOS while in beta.
