Snowball Collects All Your Messages In One Place
Snowball is a new app that collects all the messages from your different apps, and displays them in one inbox.
It brings together messages from apps like Facebook, SMS, Line, Snapchat, Google Hangouts and WhatsApp.
Co-founder and CEO Anish Acharya said: “You can think of Snowball as an “inbox” that shows your conversations from all of your favorite apps in one place. It organizes messages in the same way that you think about them: by person, instead of by app. And it’s always one swipe way, so you don’t have to waste time hunting for app icons on your homescreen.”
To reply to a message, you do have to swipe on Snowball to open the requisite messaging app, where you can send a reply.
The app is currently only available for Android, as it sits above your homepage screen, like the assisted touch on iPhone.
Because of this functionality, it was easier to implement on Android, but the company hope to launch on iOS before too long.
The company has so far raised $2.33m, from investors including Google Ventures, First Round, and Greylock Partners.
