Facebook Launches Like Button for All Mobile Developers

Facebook have made their “Like” button available to all Android and iOS mobile app developers.

When a user is logged in to their Facebook account, the button allows them to like any piece of content within a developer’s mobile app.

This includes being able to like the app’s Facebook page, or Open Graph project, and share it on Facebook.

Facebook software engineer Todd Krabach also wrote guidelines on how developers can get the most out of implementing the button into their app.

These included determining the best moment to show the button, whether immediately on load up, or at later stages of engagement.

Krabach also recommended testing different locations for the like button, and creating an engaging desktop Facebook Page.
