Match And East Coast Host Love Train Event
Match.com, East Coast trains and Radio 1’s Scott Mills are teaming up to host the first UK dating event on a train.
The East Coast Love Train will run from London King’s Cross to York, on Saturday 13th September.
Match hope to have around 200 single men and women attending the event.
Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills will be hosting an on-board matchmaking game, where singles can test their chat-up lines over the train’s PA system.
East Coast Head of Marketing, Natalie Cowen, said: “When we were developing the idea of The Love Train, it was obvious Match.com was our ideal partner, as they are the UKs number one dating website — and Scott Mills is the perfect choice as our match-making host for the day, as a regular East Coast traveller and a train fan too!”
The East Coast Love Train is free for all attendees, but those who aren’t members of Match must first sign up to the site.
In York, the travellers can either take part in planned activities, or explore the city themselves.
Match said response has been “phenomenal”, and there are only a few places left for the event.
