MeetMe Share 2014 Results, Mobile Revenue Increasing But Operating On Loss
MeetMe have released details of their financial report for 2014 yar.
While revenue was up 11% year over year to $44.8m, they are still operating on a loss of $4m.
Here are some other highlights:
- Mobile revenue hit $24.6m, up 96% year over year.
- Mobile revenue represented 55% of their total revenue – up from 31% in 2013.
- Adjusted EBITDA was $5m, up 177% year over year.
- Net loss was $4 million, compared to a net loss of $10.9m for 2013.
In their conference earnings call, CEO Geoff Cook spoke how they had bolstered their Chat function, and increased mobile revenue.
He said: “A year ago, we hadn’t yet broken 10 million chats a day. Today, we routinely achieve 25m chats a day. A year ago, our Mobile DAU, daily active users, stood at 772,000 and I mentioned that growing that key metric was our singular focus. In January, Mobile DAU reached an all-time high of 1m in the month, up roughly 30% from the same period a year ago.”
