3nder Wants to Make Threesomes Easy
3nder is a new app that calls itself “Tinder for threesomes”, and aims to make a notoriously complex sexual feat easy.
A user sets up a profile, inputs personal details and preferences – a setting can be selected to keep identities hidden from friends and family – so they can “browse freely” on the app’s database of potential partners.
The site says: “All swingers, newbies, curious and experienced. They are all discriminated by society the same way gay people were 15 years ago. We need to evolve our social acceptance.”
The app is still in development stage, and has been created by London-based entrepreneur Dimo Trifonov, who is seeking funding on AngelList.
3nder has caused a varied reaction on Twitter and in the press, with many most offended by the seemingly unpronounceable name:
“New app 3nder (Threeender? Thrender? Trinder?) aims to help you find a threesome. Jesus”, said one user.
Salon.com commented that we are now at a time when “our every sexual whim is immediately detected and addressed by a third-party software developer,” describing 3nder’s target audience as “libidinous hipsters”.
The announcement also comes with a promo video of Robert Oppenheimer’s famous words recalling the moment the first atom bomb test worked in New Mexico, 1945.
