Zoosk has announced the addition of Safeway CMO, Diane Dietz, to its board of directors.

Dietz has been the CMO of the US supermarket chain since 2008, and will join Zoosk to help drive subscriptions through her marketing and directing experience.

Dietz said: “I am impressed by Zoosk’s customer-first mission and am eager to provide guidance to their marketing and operations efforts.

“I look forward to taking part in Zoosk’s future direction as it continues to transform the dating industry through technology.”

Dietz leads the marketing, advertising and merchandising for Safeway, a Fortune 500 company who made $36.1bn last year.

Prior to this, Dietz spent 19 years at Procter & Gamble, where she played a leading role in the Gillette acquisition and integrating the Oral B business into North America.

Shayan Zadeh, co-founder and CEO of Zoosk, said: “We are very pleased and privileged to have a seasoned marketing leader like Diane providing insight as Zoosk continues to evolve.

“We look forward to her thoughtful perspective further strengthening the Zoosk team.”
