Ireland’s Biggest Radio Station Gets White Label Dating Site
Ireland’s biggest radio station is getting its own dating site, powered by White Label Dating.
Today FM is owned by media company Communicorp One, who recently made a deal with White Label Dating to create a branded dating site for the station.
The site, called Koort.Me, will be advertised to Today FM’s weekly listenership of 903,000.
Speaking about their decision to use WLD’s dating platform as an extra source of revenue, Communicorp One’s Head of Solutions and Insights, Deborah Carpenter, said:
“As a personality driven station, it was really important for us to launch a brand that would resonate with our listeners and add value for our audience. White Label Dating’s wealth of experience made them the perfect partner for our first launch into the online dating market.”
The on-air promotion will be supported by ad campaigns and promotion on branded social media channels.
Communicorp One joins WLD’s other media partners like The Independent, The Evening Standard, Global Radio and Bauer Media.
The COO and co-founder of White Label Dating, Steve Pammenter, said: “The launch of ‘Koort.Me’ is perfectly timed to enable Today FM to capitalise on online dating’s highest-revenue generating period of the year, which also happens to coincide with the lowest revenue-generating period of the year in ad sales for publishers and radio brands.
“This means that the station is well placed to advertise their own online dating site in unsold ad slots no cost to them, making up for any lost revenue and more through online dating subscriptions. We look forward to working with Communicorp One and watching their online dating division grow.”
