The domain name Bonjour.com has become available for acquisition.
The sale was announced by eNaming, a provider of Global Naming Assets Solutions.
Bonjour.com was first registered in 1995, and this is the first time it has become available for purchase.
Tracy Fogarty, eNaming CEO and founder, said: “Even people who don’t speak French know the meaning of ‘Bonjour’.
“France, and all things French, has long represented a certain level of class and culture across many industries, including, but certainly not limited to, cuisine and fashion.
“Ownership of the Bonjour.com domain name can help raise your company’s perceived value in the eyes of consumers and clients alike.”
And the owners have suggested that companies from industries like dating, networking or communications could likely benefit from the domain.
