Bumble Collaborates With Halo Top for National Ice Cream Day

Bumble has partnered with ice cream company Halo Top to run a promotional campaign in the US to celebrate National Ice Cream Day this weekend.

On 21st July, Bumble users can swipe right on a branded profile on any one of the social app’s three modes. From there, they will be prompted to fill out details before receiving coupons that can be redeemed in-store for a free box of Halo Top Pops.

The first 5,000 users will receive one box each, containing six ice cream sticks.

President & COO of Halo Top Doug Bouton said in a statement: “We’re thrilled to partner with Bumble for National Ice Cream Day.

“We’re always looking for innovative ways for people to eat more ice cream, and what could be better than matching on Bumble with Halo Top Pops?”

Halo Top will also be giving away free ice creams in five cities, including Los Angeles, New York City and Austin, from 12pm local time on National Ice Cream Day.

New VP of Partnerships Michelle Tobin told GDI that the app was working on a number of collaborations with a variety of brands. She said the most important thing she looks for when working on a partnership is whether or not the company aligns with Bumble’s core mission and values.

Bumble has previously hosted Margarita Monday and Taco Tuesday events for its users.
