Bumble to Host UK Summer Party in Shoreditch

Bumble is set to host a summer party for 200 London singles on a secret rooftop in Shoreditch.

According to The Metro, the Austin-based brand will encourage attendees to take part in “ice-breaker challenges”, such as “pineapple bowling” and “love limbo”.

Produced together with the female-led radio station Foundation FM, the event has a Miami Vice theme and features a range of Bumble-branded cocktails.

It will also have a Zodiac matchmaking area, an on-brand addition after a star sign filter was added to the app’s search earlier this year.

Louise Troen, VP of Marketing and Communications at Bumble, said: “At Bumble we understand the power of real-life connections and it’s important for us to be able to provide experiences which allow people to make the first move in a fun and safe environment.

“The huge growth of our brand, especially outside of the US shows that there is a demand for our offline event series. Our events were born out of our users coming to us and asking for a safe environment for them to connect.

“Through events like ‘Bring The Heat’, our aim is to change the way connections are made and empower women to make the first move in all aspects of their life whether that’s dating, friendship, and business.”

Users can get pairs of tickets by interacting with the Bumble Pool Party card on Date mode. The event takes place Wednesday 28 August from 8pm-1am.
