CLiKD has extended its popular ‘Love in London’ photography competition to celebrate the way that people in the UK are coping with this ongoing isolation period.
‘Love in Lockdown’ is being run in a very similar way to the previous contests, with entrants submitting photos showing what they love during this difficult time.
There are four available categories to enter, ‘Love Your Home’, ‘Love Your Pets’, ‘Love Your Neighbours’ and ‘Love Your Local Heroes’. All photographers are reminded to maintain social distancing while taking photos of people who are not in the same household.
A spokesperson for CLiKD said on the official website: “During the Love in London 2020 competition, we were so saddened by the terrifying impact that Covid-19 was having on the world, and the UK. As a company, we want to continue to support and encourage people through tough times.
“We were blown away by the support of the campaign through entries to the competition and the love that was shown on social media. We wanted to keep that spirit going through the UK wide lockdown and become a space for those to share stories of love, compassion and community.”
Like ‘Love in London’, ‘Love in Lockdown’ is also raising awareness and money for Relate, a charity that provides relationship counselling and guidance to people in England and Wales.
A shortlist of the best entries will be chosen by a panel of judges before the winners are decided by a public vote. The voting stage for ‘Love in London’ closed last week with the winners set to be announced very soon.
