The Better Business Bureau has released the top 10 most common complaints and inquiries it received in mainland BC, Canada over the course of 2017.
Dating apps were the topic of more complaints than any other kind of product, with 209 instances of consumer dissatisfaction recorded.
They were followed by parking facilities (165 complaints), new car dealers (161 complaints) and online retailers (151 complaints).
The Ashcroft-Cache Creek Journal reports that Plenty of Fish was the app consumers reported most frequently.
Evan Kelly, senior communications advisor for the BBB serving Mainland BC, said of POF: “They’ve been on our radar for some time”.
Reportedly, POF had not been active in responding to complaints, though the BBB is now “starting to see some movement”.
The Better Business Bureau acts as “an ethical marketplace where buyers and sellers trust each other”.
It is active in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
Plenty of Fish brought out a number of new ‘conversation powers’ in December, including voice messaging, video calling, and photo sharing functionalities.
