Dating.com has announced a special Mother’s Day promotion which will offer premium benefits for the single mothers who are looking for love.
Those who register for an account and share their quarantine parenting experiences by 12am EST on May 10, will be entered to win complimentary credits for access to all of the member-only features.
Data from Dating.com found that 35% of its global user-base are single mothers. More than 70% of those women say that having an online companion can relieve stress and 87% want to continue online dating once social-distancing ends.
Maria Sullivan, VP of Dating.com, said in a statement: “Single parents have taken on several new roles since the pandemic began – whether it be a personal chef, teacher, counsellor and countless others – and are doing it alone.
“We want to alleviate the stress of quarantined life at home with kids and reward those who have risen to the occasion, keeping their families safe during unprecedented times.”
Dating.com has also come up with a number of ways that families can continue to communicate with single mothers during quarantine, including hosting a brunch, sending a plant, and hosting a virtual bake-off.
The platform has run similar promotions in the past, most notably 12 months ago when it offered free premium updates for recent divorcées to mark the beginning of “Uncuffing Season”.
