Former Badoo Executive President Joins Board Of Blockchain Micro-Task Company StormX

Former Badoo executive president & director Amit Shafrir has joined the board of blockchain adtech and micro-task company StormX.

Shafrir was at Badoo for over three years, helping the company move from a loss to hit revenues of over $150m.

StormX is the creator of Storm Play and Storm Market, two products that use gamified micro-tasks to let users earn Storm tokens.

Current gamified micro-tasks include the ability to try out different products and services, like Hulu, Dollar Shave Club and Final Fantasy.

The company has over 1.2m downloads and 270k MAUs in 187 countries.

Speaking about the company, Amit Shafrir said: “I’ve spent my career looking for the next exciting technological innovation, and StormX fits the profile of a rapidly-growing, industry-defining business that will have a very large social impact.

“I feel that StormX has the potential to reshape the way the freelance industry operates and establish itself as a leading blockchain innovator.”

In addition to holding the position of executive president & director at Badoo, Shafrir was also the president of AOL Premium Services and is currently CEO & co-founder of Quiv, a charitable platform that allows users to ask questions to experts.
