Happn Hits 30m Milestone, Has 1.7m Users In UK

Dating app Happn has over 1.7m users in the UK, as it hits the 30m milestone.

The app recently announced it has over 30m users across forty cities around the world, up from 25m at the start of the year.

Founder Didier Rappaport also revealed that the dating app’s biggest market was Brazil, in an interview with ManagementToday.

The company also has plans to add China to its list of markets in 2018, having recently officially launched in India.

The company soft launched in India last May, hitting 200,000 users after just one week and reaching 1m by the end of the year.

Happn officially launched last month, having attracted investment from the owner of furnishing company DCtex, Nimish Arora, and south Indian music label Lahari Music.

The dating app also signed up Bollywood legend Hrithik Rosha as its local brand ambassador.

This comes after the French dating app closed a third round of funding at the start of the year, that was joined by Havas Participations, and said to be in the region of €10m.
