Hily Users Can Add Snapchat Stories to Dating Profile

Hily is set to integrate Snapchat Stories, allowing cross-app migration to members.

Nearly a year after it was first previewed, Snapchat is introducing ‘App Stories’, a feature that allows third-party apps to post Stories created in the Snapchat app to their services.

Members of the dating app will have the opportunity to share their ‘Hily Story’ (Hily’s own story sharing option) on their Snapchat account as well.

Users of any app involved in App Stories have the opportunity to post Stories across both platforms, making the most of Snapchat’s design features, such as filters and doodles.

App developers can also make Stories live for seven days on external apps, as opposed to the regular 24 hours.

Music video app Triller will allow users to view stories from friends and artists that they follow, as well as video chat app Squad and AR platform Octi.

Ben Schwerin, Snap’s VP of partnerships, said in a statement: “This gives people even more reasons to use the Snapchat camera to create and it also opens up our content to potentially new audiences.

“There’s definitely going to be potential in the future to create monetization opportunities for Snap and for our partners through these products.”

When the product was first revealed in April 2019, it was announced that Tinder would be one of the parties involved in the partnership. However, there is currently no official word as to when users of the dating app will get access.
